Numbers 9:15-23
15 On the day that the tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered
the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony; and at evening it was
over the tabernacle like the appearance of fire until morning. 16 So
it was continually; the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance
of fire by night. 17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over
the tent, after that the people of Israel set out; and in the place
where the cloud settled down, there the people of Israel encamped.
18 At the command of the LORD the people of Israel set out, and at
the command of the LORD they encamped; as long as the cloud rested
over the tabernacle, they remained in camp. 19 Even when the cloud
continued over the tabernacle many days, the people of Israel kept
the charge of the LORD, and did not set out. 20 Sometimes the cloud
was a few days over the tabernacle, and according to the command of
the LORD they remained in camp; then according to the command of the
LORD they set out. 21 And sometimes the cloud remained from evening
until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they
set out, or if it continued for a day and a night, when the cloud
was taken up they set out. 22 Whether it was two days, or a month,
or a longer time, that the cloud continued over the tabernacle,
abiding there, the people of Israel remained in camp and did not set
out; but when it was taken up they set out. 23 At the command of the
LORD they encamped, and at the command of the LORD they set out;
they kept the charge of the LORD, at the command of the LORD by
Moses.
Numbers 12:3-10
3 Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all men that were on
the face of the earth. 4 And suddenly the LORD said to Moses and to
Aaron and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tent of
meeting." And the three of them came out. 5 And the LORD came
down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the tent, and
called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward. 6 And he said,
"Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD
make myself known to him in a vision, I speak with him in a dream. 7
Not so with my servant Moses; he is entrusted with all my house. 8
With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in dark speech;
and he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to
speak against my servant Moses?" 9 And the anger of the LORD
was kindled against them, and he departed; 10 and when the cloud
removed from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as
snow. And Aaron turned towards Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
Numbers 14:10-14
10 But all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Then
the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting to all the
people of Israel. 11 And the LORD said to Moses, "How long will
this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in
spite of all the signs which I have wrought among them? 12 I will
strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make
of you a nation greater and mightier than they." 13 But Moses
said to the LORD, "Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for thou
didst bring up this people in thy might from among them, 14 and they
will tell the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that thou, O
LORD, art in the midst of this people; for thou, O LORD, art seen
face to face, and thy cloud stands over them and thou goest before
them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.
