This is a timeline which gives the history of sacred texts, as
well as a few other relevant events ( not all of the dates
in this timeline are accurate; some are entirely conjectural.)
Dating
our Past
More and more mathematics is used in the social sciences like
economics, psychology, sociology, demography, social epidemiology
and criminology.
Not surprisingly, mathematics is also trying to make its
contribution in history, where it addresses a very serious problem
of reliability of the accounts of historical events. How can we be
sure that the historical events that we learn about in school or
from books really took place? Maybe some of them are simply fairy
tales that, because of some mysterious circumstances, are considered
now to be historical facts.
Mathematics
of the Past
Since my early childhood, I have been inspired and excited by
ancient and medieval history. I also have a good memory, which
allows me to remember historical events, dates, names, and related
details. So, after reading many history books, I analysed and
compared the information and, little by little, I began to feel
that there was something wrong with the dates of antiquity. There
were too many discrepancies and contradictions that could not be
explained within the framework of traditional chronology.

flood legend, with the flood being of such enormous proportions that
it is believed to have covered the whole Earth.
Bible

verifying Biblical accounts of history. The lectures cover such
topics as the existence of the Ark of the Covenant, Sodom &
Gomorrah, the Tower of Babel, amongst other things.
Friesian School
The essays at this site, addressing many philosophical,
historical, scientific, religious, economic, legal, and political
issues, range from the fully annotated and technical to more
informal and discursive discussions, often originally written for
undergraduate classes. Many items therefore should be intelligible
to those not familiar with all the arcana of academic philosophy,
or with academic philosophy at all. This is done deliberately,
since the trend, by which philosophy has obscured and esotericized
itself and mostly dropped out of popular and literate culture,
should be resisted. Work of a similar range, with the appropriate
philosophical orientation and grounding, is acceptable and
desired.
Meru Foundation
The Meru Project is based on 30 years of research by Stan Tenen
into the origin and nature of the Hebrew alphabet, and the
mathematical structure underlying the sequence of letters of the
Hebrew text of Genesis.
"We have discovered an extraordinary and unexpected geometric
metaphor in the letter sequence of B’reshit (the Hebrew text of
Genesis), a text which underlies and is held in common by the
spiritual traditions of the ancient world. This metaphor models
embryonic growth and self-organization. It applies to all whole
systems, including those as seemingly diverse as meditational
practices and the mathematics fundamental to physics and
cosmology."

been verified to be in the public domain. Each index page
on the CD-ROM has a link to the equivalent page at sacred
texts, so you can check for new material.
