A link to a free 3D VRML Model of the Great Pyramid.
One can go through all the chambers, passageways, etc. as well
as make it transparent and move around the internal mass of the
pyramid so as to view the internal chambers from the outside, and
from any angle. Pretty well done, and a great visualization tool.

Tour Egypt
This site is the official internet site for both the Egyptian
government's Tourist Authority and the Ministry of Tourism. Put
together over many months by an industrious US internet company,
this site has thousands of pages on everthing Egyptian. Intended
to promote interest in tourism, which is the single largest
source of national income in Egypt, it abundantly covers every
aspect of what's enjoyable in Egypt and how to travel there. In
particular, it has a huge set of pages with photos and text on
all the major monuments. As an official government site it
presents the traditional academic side of Egyptology, but in
recognition of the vast audience for other points of view, a
'mysteries' section is in the works.

-
members.aol.com/SILOAMNET/intro1.htm
A wonderfully interactive new site, which looks in depth at the
astronomical implications of the Great Pyramid, but also claims to
answer in less detail various conundrums of our past, from the Maya
to the riddle of Easter Island. Good fun, even if you don't
necessarily agree with all the conclusions.

The
Death of Gods in Ancient Egypt
Jane Sellers is primarily an author on ancient Egyptian belief
systems, and her work is central to those interested in the
mythology behind the unique dynastic folklore that we still do not
fully understand. Her work is recognized as important in the field.
Her book on display here is The Death of Gods In Ancient Egypt. The
site is still in development, so plenty more is yet to come.

John
Anthony West's Official Website
West and his geologist colleague, Robert Schoch, caused a storm
in the early 1990s by arguing that the erosion of the Sphinx implies
an age thousands of years greater than that conventionally accepted.
This unorthodox dating of the Sphinx has stood up extremely well in
the face of biting attacks (more from egyptologists than
geologists), and remains one of the strongest pillars of evidence
for the "lost civilisation".
-
Robert
Schoch
Over the past decade and a half much of his research has focused
on ancient civilizations and their origins - beginning with a
geological analysis of the Great Sphinx and then expanding
outward from there. His web site serves as a place where
interested parties can post new developments and discuss the
ongoing controversies surrounding such research.
